An iPad signed by Steve Jobs was recently put up for sale on an auction site.

For several years now, objects that belonged to and/or passed through the hands of Steve Jobs have tended to sell for high prices. We particularly remember the Apple founder’s Birkenstock sandals, sold for more than $200,000 last year.

How much for this iPad signed by Steve Jobs?

Today, it is the RR Auction platform which has decided to put up for sale an iPad (Model A1337) in 32 GB version, the particularity of which is to have been signed by Steve Jobs, who died 12 years ago. A very rare object, according to the sales site, which explains: “ Steve Jobs autographs are rare, especially at this late stage of his career. The iPad launched in April 2010, and it died about a year and a half later. This is, to our knowledge, the only iPad autographed by Jobs to be offered at auction, making it an item of great rarity. »

The iPad in question is the property of Frank H. Sayre, a dentist based in Hawaii, who explains having treated Steve Jobs during his visit. He then asked her for a signed iPad, accompanying his request with a check for $729.

Soon, Dr. Sayre received the iPad, accompanied by a letter from LaNita Burkhead, assistant to Steve Jobs: “ Steve asked me to send you the attached autographed iPad (32 GB Wi-Fi + 3G). As this is a personal gift from Steve, we will return your check. »

For those interested, the iPad in question has been on sale since August 25, with a closing date scheduled for September 23. The price is currently set at $12,974, while the next auction will be at $13,272.
