The use of MonAccompagnateurRenov’, a project management assistant, will be a must from September to receive a minimum of 5,000 euros in public aid. A service, in principle, paid. Here is what will change for your energy renovation work.
The case has been in the pipeline since the end of 2021. MonAccompagnateurRenov’ will finally pass the second in 2023. This device is responsible for advise on the energy renovation work to be carried out and guide households, who too often do not know who to turn to for answers and to find craftsmen. The aim is also to better control the payment of MaPrimeRenov’ aid and energy saving certificates (EEC), in order to limit scams.
MonAccompagnateurRénov’ will bring together under a single banner the approved agents of Anah (National Housing Agency) and the FAIRE network (Facilitate, Accompany and Inform in Energy Renovation) coordinated by Ademe (Ecological Transition Agency) . Use it for energy renovation projects will become mandatory from September 1, 2023 if you want to receive a minimum of 5,000 euros in public aid.
Support in 3 steps
Since June 1, to take advantage of the MaPrimeRenov’ system, the premium application must also respond to work adapted to the housing situation.
This support offered by the State will be broken down into three stages, explains in a communication the Ministry of Ecological Transition:
- a review of the housing via an existing energy audit, the recommendation of work scenarios and orientation towards RGE craftsmen (recognized guarantor of the environment),
- financial support to make the most of available aid,
- social support in certain situations of fuel poverty, unfit housing or loss of autonomy.
MonAccompagnateurRenov’, a paid service
In addition, from July 2023, players wishing to obtain MonAccompagnateurRenov’ accreditation will be able to do so and carry out their missions from 2024. A desirable development since according to Ademe figures, 75% of energy renovation work does not do not lead to a change in energy rating.

(…) In addition, the opening of this system to actors other than historical public actors will make it possible to to be able to streamline work deadlines which can sometimes be very long and discouraging to date “, says Paul Martin, co-founder of Ithaque, which has been supporting individuals in their renovation projects since 2021.
“In order to find the best craftsmen, individuals are looking for a helping hand. Especially for low-income households who may hesitate to get started, ”says Baudouin de la Varende, the co-founder of Ithaque. Going through Ithaca will cost around 2,500 euros for a global energy renovation project.Too expensive ? Not according to him. “Support avoids administrative errors and maximizes aid. It saves time and money,” he says.
Since February, the ceilings for work that can be financed by the public aid scheme for energy renovation MaPrimeRénov’ have been increased to take account of the rise in prices. The “global renovation” package has gone from 7,000 to 10,000 euros for households with intermediate resources, and from 3,500 to 5,000 euros for households with higher resources.

Support can be free if your community has set up dedicated funding for this support. To find out if you are eligible, you can contact a France Rénov’ advisor on the france-rénov.gouv.fr website. In the event that the community has not set up dedicated financing, “Anah co-finances the support with a flat rate of up to 875 euros depending on your work project and your resources”, specifies the public-service site.
