Elon Musk has definitely taken control of the social network, and major changes are already affecting the workforce of the American company.

The South African billionaire announced the color even before the takeover of Twitter. Indeed, the principal concerned would have the intention to lay off 75% of the employees of the company: a blow of pressure which was quickly followed by facts. Thus, several leaders of the social network were fired at the start of the week. And this dear Elon Musk intends to do what is necessary to avoid having to pay them severance pay.

A rather vague reason

After the arrival of the boss of Tesla at the head of Twitter, several heads rolled. The first to be affected by the wave of layoffs are now former CEO Parag Agrawal, chief financial officer Ned Segal, chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde and the company’s general counsel Sean Edgett. These referrals could cost the social network up to $122 million. But Elon Musk seems to have found the parade.

The website The Information reports that these dismissals are made “ for a valid reason “. Thus, there would be a justification, and therefore a fault committed by the former leaders which would explain their departure. If this hypothesis were to be verified, the persons concerned will not receive any compensation. It remains to be seen if this is not yet another scheme by the whimsical billionaire.
