Maintaining our winter accessories is very important: this also applies to hats which can quickly become dirty with sebum from the forehead and scalp, but obviously this also applies to gloves with which we touch many surfaces and objects. Washing these fashion items incorrectly can cause minor problems due to bacteria, but it can also be problematic for the skin (here, we are thinking in particular of the hat and scarf, in contact with the neck and lower part of the face). To make sure you have the cleanest scarf possible, we advise you to wash it once every week or once every two weeks. Of course, if you only wear your scarf occasionally, you can wash it less frequently, such as once a month.

How to properly wash your scarf?
The correct way to wash your scarf depends on the material it was made from. If it is made of wool or cashmere, you can wash it by hand by placing it in a basin of lukewarm water (especially not too hot as it risks relaxing the fiber). A little detergent, rub gently and leave to soak for 5 minutes. Rinse it well without twisting it and let it dry flat. Even if your scarf is acrylic or polyester, hand washing is recommended. If you have little time to spare, machine washing on the wool or hand program may be suitable. Remember: using a tumble dryer is strongly discouraged, as it risks seriously causing your piece to shrink!
