Called Snapdragon Seamless, this new feature will allow easier interoperability between all devices equipped with Snapdragon chips, similar to the Apple or Samsung ecosystem.

The bridge between all Snapdragon devices

Whether it’s smartphones, wireless headphones, smartwatches, laptops and even virtual reality headsets, Snapdragon chips are everywhere. Qualcomm has decided to exploit its hold on the market with Qualcomm Seamless, a communication protocol between all these devices.

Concretely, this technology will make it easier to pair two devices together, locate them more quickly, synchronize notifications between a computer and a smartphone or even share files in two clicks. Qualcomm takes the example of headphones that can turn on and off on the fly depending on the activity of the audio source.

ASUS, Xiaomi, Honor, OPPO and Lenovo all have plans to bring this feature to their devices by next year.
