If I’m planning on wearing a flamboyant red dress and some really tough news comes in the morning, I’m obviously going to change into my clothes and not come in red. We try to plan for everything.”, she confided. If this choice is indeed important, it is because the 46-year-old presenter knows how much his appearance is important.
Marie-Sophie Lacarrau’s “image profession”
In addition to the attire given to the news, the rest of the appearance is important. “Unfortunately, I think the first few seconds we appear, we are first commented on our makeup, hairstyle and outfit. Once it is over, we are listened to”, she explained. If the journalist find it regrettableshe considers that by making a “image business” it must nevertheless be accepted. Like many other presenters and journalists on television, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau has borne the brunt of the treatment given to women and physical judgments. The journalist is aware of this, women are “more judged” on their appearance, but, according to her, this is also due to the fact that men have less freedom in their choice of outfit or hairstyle.
