According to the survey, conducted online on March 1 and 2, 38% of the beneficiaries of the inflation bonus of 100 euros used it to pay their bills. 32% of respondents used it to fill up with gas and 29% used it for food shopping.
Less money for leisure
The inflation bonus decided by the government has therefore served well to cushion the decline in the purchasing power of the French. With the rise in oil prices and the war in Ukraine, however, the latter is still under threat. Faced with soaring fuel prices, 36% of people polled by YouGov said they traveled by car less often.
