How TikTok accelerates on the filtering of mature content?

TikTok never misses an opportunity to argue. The social network is well aware of this and is trying somehow to restore its image. And this obviously involves moderating content deemed sensitive.

The hunt for suggestive content on TikTok

TikTok has always been mainly used by a very young audience. It is particularly an extremely popular social network among teenagers. Unfortunately, the latter are frequently exposed to videos normally intended for a more “mature” audience. Many platforms, such as Instagram, have long tried to curb the phenomenon… but success has rarely been there. However, the site of the Chinese giant ByteDance has decided to take the bull by the horns!

In recent months, TikTok has deployed various tools aimed at strengthening the safety of young Internet users. For example, a rating system has emerged to facilitate the detection of suggestive content. And that’s kind of always the problem with TikTok. No information about the operation of this new system has been given. We must therefore be satisfied with the figures that the social network wants to communicate to us.
