Once upon a time, all you had to do was swipe left or right on a notification and hit a Snooze button to dismiss a notification on Android. This was not only an easy way to hide notifications for a certain amount of time, but also an easily configurable option. This method has been deprecated and a much simpler, but more limited option has been implemented.
But why would you want to put a notification on hold? The answer to this question is simple: you are not ready to respond to the notification, but you do not want to forget this alert either. Of course, you can always check your notification history, but this option is only viable for 24 hours.
If you pause a notification, it disappears from your notification window, only to reappear later and remind you of its existence. Considering how easy the function is to use, it is an essential tool to not miss any notification.
So how do you snooze a notification on Android 12?
Pause notifications on the Pixel 6 Pro
Most Pixel devices have notification snoozing enabled by default.
Choose the notification to snooze
The first thing you need to do is choose the notification to snooze and touch the arrow pointing down.

By default, notifications aren’t expanded, so you can’t see the Snooze button.
Press the clock
Once you’ve expanded the notification, tap the clock icon.

You will see a drop-down menu appear.

Choose the delay before repetition
Tap the drop-down list and choose between 1 hour (default), 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 2 hours.

Although you are limited to the options available, you are not limited to the number of times you can snooze a notification. Thus, if two hours is not enough, repeat the operation when the notification reappears.
Repeating notifications on a OnePlus 10 Pro
On other Android devices (like the OnePlus 10 Pro), notification snooze isn’t enabled by default. Don’t worry, it’s quite simple to activate it. To do this, go to Settingsthen Notifications and status bar and More settings. In this window, press the On/Off slider to move it to the On position.

Once you’ve enabled snooze, close the Settings app and pull down your notification panel. If you swipe left on a notification, you will now see the clock icon.

From there, the notification snooze is handled the same as on the Pixel 6 Pro.
