The scarf is the most important accessory in the cold season, because it keeps us nice and warm even in the freezing cold. But the popular winter accessory can do more than just be functional, it just has to be tied properly. We’ll show you three different wrapping techniques that will turn your boring onion look into an eye-catching outfit.

Let’s be honest – we all don’t really know how to best tie our scarf. We usually wrap it awkwardly around our necks, straighten it a little and hope that it looks reasonably good doing it. But that’s over now, because we have selected three simple techniques with which your scarf can quickly become the it-piece of your outfit.

How to tie a scarf correctly: These techniques will do the trick!

1. The loop

The “loop” wrapping technique is one of the simplest methods to put your scarf in the limelight. Simply tie a loop in the middle of your scarf and pull it gently to create a small knot. Put on the scarf so that the knot points towards the cleavage. Then cross the ends of the scarf at the back of the head to create a kind of loop. Now loosen the knot a little, pull the two ends of the scarf through the loop and then pluck a little to hide the knot details. Et voilà – the first wrapping technique for your winter accessory is ready.

2. The knot

The knot winding technique is a little more difficult to implement and requires good hand coordination. But if you stick to the prescribed steps, you quickly get the hang of it.

Wrap the scarf around your neck as normal and position it so that one end is longer than the other. Hold the shorter end with one hand and the longer end with the other. Now guide the long end of the scarf underneath the short one and wrap it around your neck once. Your hand, which covers the shorter end, will also be wrapped up – don’t worry, it won’t stay that way. Instead of just letting the long end of the scarf hang down as usual, you bring it to the opposite hand, grab it and, in the last step, simply pull it through the loop towards the ground. Now lay out the scarf a little and the chic knot is ready, which is guaranteed to stay bombproof all day.

3. Round neck scarf

You don’t have a scarf at hand right now? No problem, because with this simple trick we can create one ourselves within a few seconds. Simply put your scarf around your neck and knot the ends so that they connect. Now cross the scarf so that the shape of an eight is created and then slip your head through the loop that is in front of you – and voilà, you’ve created your own round neck scarf.
