TF1 broadcast episode 3 of “HPI” last night, which ended with a passionate kiss between Morgane (Audrey Fleurot) and a character that was surprising to say the least. An original end which did not fail to react to Internet users.
This is a formula known to lovers of detective series. Whether in Bones, Castle or even Mentalist, the writers like to play on the ambiguous love of its two protagonists to attract viewers week after week.
And the French HPI series is no stranger to this practice. It has now been almost three seasons that Morgane (Audrey Fleurot) and Karadec (Mehdi Nebbou) have been turning around, always missing each other narrowly.
In the finale of season 1, when he had decided to confess his feelings to the character played by Audrey Fleurot, the commander discovered that the forties had returned to a relationship with the father of her children.
And during season 2, it was Morgana’s turn to harbor feelings for her colleague, who was now in a relationship with Roxane (Clotilde Hesme). A game of cat and mouse that culminated at the end of season 2 when Morgane and Karadec exchanged a passionate kiss.
Of course, it’s never a long calm river between our two heroes. After a year of waiting, viewers discovered on May 11 that in addition to not being in a relationship with Karadec, Morgane had simply decided to leave the police.
But if HPI fans secretly continue to hope that the two colleagues will get together one day, the writers of the detective series have reserved a nice surprise for them at the end of episode 3 of season 3, broadcast last night on TF1.
In the last minutes, Morgane returns home to discover that Timothée (Jeremy Lewin), the new police officer recruited to replace her during her absence, is in charge of her protection at her home.
She then notices that in addition to guaranteeing her safety, the young man has cleaned the house and prepared a meal worthy of the greatest chefs. Neither one nor two, she throws herself on him and kisses him passionately.
A surprising end, to say the least, which did not fail to make Internet users react. “Original this end of episode of #HPI. ? I didn’t see it coming at all, Timothée either” commented a viewer on Twitter. “THIS END IS ICONIC pffff what an episode again” could also be read.
