HPI season 4: we saw the first episodes at Séries Mania… and there is change in sight!

Before its arrival next May on TF1, season 4 of “HPI” was presented today in preview at Séries Mania. And the first two episodes of the detective series with Audrey Fleurot have a lot of surprises in store for us.

Morgane Alvaro is preparing to make her comeback on TF1. On May 16, the craziest consultant of the PAF will indeed return for season 4 of HPI which promises to be full of surprises.

And as in previous years, the public of the Séries Mania festival, which is currently being held in Lille, was able to discover in preview this Saturday March 16 the first two episodes of this fourth new batch.

Who is the father of Morgane’s baby?

In the finale of season 3 of HPI, the character played by Audrey Fleurot learned with amazement that she was several months pregnant. Happy news that isn’t really news, since Morgane has no idea who the baby’s father is.

The red tornado had in fact slept with three different people during season 3: Thimothée (Jeremy Lewin), newcomer to the police station, David (Doudou Masta), one of the suspects in an investigation led by Morgane and her gang, and Karadec (Mehdi Nebbou) with whom she shared a night of love under the influence of LSD. It is therefore this answer, which is thorny to say the least, that season 4 of HPI will endeavor to answer.

And if viewers expect to have an answer in the first minutes, they will have to be patient since the writers have decided to play on our nerves by prolonging the suspense.

In the first two episodes of season 4 of HPI, Morgane still has no idea of the identity of the father even if she is convinced that the baby is Karadec’s. How will she tell him? And how will he take the news? The first two episodes still leave these two questions unanswered.

A season as original as ever

It is on a scene incorporating all the codes of American family series from the 80s that this season 4 of HPI opens. An opening sequence which sets the tone: the authors have not finished playing with the codes of the genre, as they were able to do during season 3 with an episode inspired by the world of video games.

Overall, this start of the season is in line with what the writers were able to offer during the first three bursts of episodes. Well-crafted punchline, improbable looks from Morgane, investigation at full speed… All the ingredients come together to make us have a good time.

And if we could have feared that after 4 seasons, HPI would start to go in circles, the authors manage to renew themselves by offering us investigations that are still as unusual, and situations between Karadec and Morgane that are still as funny.

A newcomer who will turn everything upside down

If Morgane, Karadec, Gilles (Bruno Sanches), Céline (Marie Denarnaud) and Daphné (Bérangère McNeese) are back in this season 4, the police station will have to make way for a newcomer who will sow discord within the ‘team.

A true free spirit, this character played by Thomas Scimeca, seen in the series Les Grands or Bêtes blondes, will clash with the uncompromising rigor of Karadec.

Without saying too much, his arrival heralds a major change that will surely not please everyone. Will he succeed in finding a place on the team? Answer in season 4 of HPI which arrives next Thursday May 16 on TF1.
