Despite its setbacks, Huawei continues to regularly release new smartphones. The firm has just presented the Nova 10 and 10 Pro, two devices with rather balanced technical sheets but only compatible with 4G.
Huawei obviously has no intention of letting go of its Nova range. The Chinese firm has just presented two new mobiles, available from July 8 in China: the Nova 10 and 10 Pro. On paper, these references look very similar.
A smartphone still and always in 4G
The Nova 10 has a 6.67-inch OLED panel displaying FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) and offering a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. With its dimensions of 162.18 x 73.91 x 66.88 mm and its weight of 168 grams, it is intended to be relatively light. A Snapdragon 778G coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage drives everything. Like its predecessors, the mobile remains confined to 4G.
On the photo side, it has a 50-megapixel main sensor whose lens opens at f / 1.9, an 8 Mpx ultra-wide-angle module (f / 2.4) and a third dedicated to depth measurement (f/2.4). At the front, Huawei has chosen an impressive 60 Mpx (f / 2.4) sensor capable of filming in 4K. We should therefore be able to take beautiful selfies.
Autonomy is ensured by a 4000 mAh battery compatible with fast charging at 66 W. This may seem a bit light, but the SoC used is not too energy-intensive. Everything runs on Harmony OS 2.
The Nova 10 will be available for 2699 yuan in its 128 GB version, or around €400 excluding taxes. The 256GB model costs around €440 excluding taxes. It comes in silver, green, purple and black.
A Pro model that differs little
The Pro model retains the same technical sheet more or less. He opts for a larger slab, 6.78 inches, but the specifics of the latter do not change. On the other hand, this plays on its weight, which reaches 191 grams.
It has the same SoC and the same photo sensors. However, we note the presence of a second 8 Mpx sensor at the front (f / 2.2), designed for portraits. This version is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery compatible with 100 W charging using proprietary SuperCharge technology.
These few changes increase the note, since the 128 GB version costs 3699 yuan, or about 540 € excluding taxes. The 256 GB model is sold for approximately €580 excluding VAT. The colors available are similar to the standard model.
Huawei has not yet specified whether these two models will be marketed in Europe. However, the Nova 9 and Nova 9 SE having been released in France, there is a good chance of hearing about it in the future.
