Two years after his first defeat on “The Voice” (TF1), Ugo, 19, decided to try his luck again. After his passage, Vianney, already present during his first attempt, recognized him.
Born never stay on your first failure : this is the lesson learned by several candidates from The Voice (TF1). While some can try their luck again under the benevolent eye of Camille Lellouche in the parallel show The Voice Comeback, others decide to return to the race years later. This is for example the case of Odem, who failed to convince the coaches in 2017, before coming back in force in 2024.
Two years ago, Ugo Cicoletta participated in the show with his father, Fabien. The two, however, sang separately, a first on the show. When Fabien was selected to join Marc Lavoine’s team, but his son was unable to follow him, he found himself torn, even hesitating to exchange places. Ugo had not expressed any regrets. “It motivates me to potentially, in a few years, try the show again”he told Aufeminin in 2022.

It is now done. “I think I’ve matured enough.”declared Ugo in front of the cameras of The Voice. Encouraged by his family, the young 19-year-old from Toulouse defended himself on Saturday March 9 by performing “Ces gens-là” by Jacques Brel, giving voice in a cover mixing singing, theater and rap. The young man was under tension again, and almost left empty-handed again before being saved at the last minute by Bigflo and Oliwho turned their chairs around at the last second.

Did Ugo overdo it on stage by wanting to take his revenge? This is what Bigflo implied, explaining the hesitation that held him back until the last moment. “You wanted to put a lot, too much. That’s what made me almost not press, you sent me too manyyou wanted to convince me too much by force”, he explains. Same thought on Mika’s side, who also felt that the young man wanted to prove himself singing “almost cinematically”.
Vianney had encouraged Ugo to come back
Before leaving the stage, Ugo took the opportunity to greet the only coach who had already met him two years ago: Vianney. “I did The Voice two years ago!” he said, clapping her hand. “It’s not true”replied the singer, amazed. “With my dad”recalls the young man, to whom Vianney replied with a “Ah, huge!” enthusiastic. “Well yes, I’ll put you back on, I’ll put your face back on. You see, it has to happen. You did well to come back“he added.
