Despite their separation, they stick together as a family: Hugh Jackman celebrated his 55th birthday in New York – with his wife Deborra-Lee.
Although Hugh Jackman, 55, and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, 67, announced their separation in mid-September after 27 years together, the married couple celebrated the Australian actor’s 55th birthday together last Thursday. Together they are said to have visited Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bar in New York City, an upscale restaurant popular with celebrities.
“It was a great celebration”
A representative for Hugh Jackman has confirmed to “People” magazinethat Deborra-Lee Furness, along with her family and close friends, traveled to New York to see Jackman. “It was a great celebration,” an anonymous source told People.
Hugh Jackman himself shared on Instagram a photo of yourself at the restaurant table. Dressed in a white shirt, he raises a drink to toast. He wrote: “Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I read your messages, see the special videos and am overwhelmed with emotions.”
In an Instagram story, the “X-Men” star also posted a photo of a dessert plate with a scoop of ice cream, two chocolates and “Happy Birthday Hugh Jackman” written in chocolate writing.
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have separated peacefully
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announced their surprising breakup in a statement in mid-September. After 27 years together, the former Hollywood dream couple decided to go their separate ways.
But it also said: “We were blessed to share a wonderful, loving marriage as husband and wife for almost three decades. (…) Our family has always been and always will be our highest priority.” But her journey will now “change”.
The two got married in 1996. Together they have children Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
