Hugo Travers, founder of the HugoDécrypte news channel on social networks, is launching an online media outlet to inform young people about entering working life, as well as a recruitment platform, he announced on Sunday.
Entitled Elan, this new free “support in professional life” media will offer video and text content on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
“Variations on other media are planned subsequently,” indicated the HugoDécrypte team in a press release.
Elan will offer the opportunity to discover “sectors, professions and study paths” and will provide “practical guides (housing, finances, health, administration)”, “content for knowing your rights” and even “advice for balance of professional and personal life.
“There did not yet exist a reference media that relevantly deals with these issues on social networks, even though they are the information medium of choice for our generation,” argued Hugo Travers, 26, quoted in the press release.
The launch of Elan is accompanied by that of a platform for connecting candidates from the HugoDécrypte audience and recruiters selected by its team (http://jobs.hugodecrypte.com).
For this, companies pay “an annual subscription allowing them to subscribe to one or more spaces for disseminating offers on the site”.
Founded in 2015 by Hugo Travers, HugoDécrypte has become an important information media among 15-34 year olds, followed by more than 14 million subscribers across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). It covers current events in formats adapted to social networks.
Since the start of the 2023 school year, its “L’interview face hidden” format has been co-broadcast on Saturdays on the public television channel France 2.
The team has 25 people including an editorial team of 12 journalists.
