Three months before the presidential election, the communist newspaper “L’Humanité” announces new formulas from January 20. Its website will also be modernized, according to its director Fabien Gay. New features for the daily newspaper which is experiencing economic difficulties, in particular for its paper edition.

Humanity
enters a new era. The communist daily founded in 1904 changed its formula from January 20 concerning Humanity and Humanity Sunday. The director of the newspaper Fabien Gay explained that these new formulas “more incisive will strengthen the utility and the audience of our newspapers”. “A new stage in its long resistance,” even insisted the director of the daily. Three months before the presidential election, the Communist newspaper has therefore decided to have a facelift.

A facelift for the website

In addition to these new formulas announced by the director, the daily promises a facelift for the website which will be renovated, with the aim of occupying a greater place in the digital sector. Because the group struggles to maintain its paper edition. Faced with the increase in the price of paper which weakens its economy a little more, the independent Communist newspaper, distributed in early 2022 to just under 38,000 copies per day, appealed for donations to its readers.

There is also a change for the traditional festival of Huma. This will no longer take place in the Parc de la Courneuve, near Paris, in Seine-Saint-Denis, but in the heart of Essonne.
