When it comes to driving, humans are far superior to artificial intelligence, says AI professor Ralf Otte from Ulm University of Technology. In this episode he explains to the “AI dummies” Raimund Brichta and Etienne Bell why AI will never make cars fully autonomous in the next 50 years. It is simply the wrong procedure, says Otte. “Neuromorphic systems” could offer a way out – but in the professor’s opinion the time is far from ripe for them.
