Tax investigation initiated against Joe Biden's son

The US authorities are investigating Hunter Biden, the son of US President-elect Joe Biden, in "tax matters".
The authorities have started tax investigations against Hunter Biden, 50. The son of the elected US President Joe Biden (78, "Promise me") published a corresponding statement in which he states that he was last found out that he was being investigated in "tax matters".
"I take this matter very seriously, but I am confident that a professional and independent investigation will show that I did my business legally and appropriately, including with the help of professional tax advisors," the statement said.
At the same time, Joe Biden's team announced that he was proud of his son, who had repeatedly been exposed to "malicious personal attacks" in recent months. Hunter Biden had previously been increasingly attacked from the camp of US President Donald Trump (74) in the US election campaign. Trump accused Joe Biden's son of corruption, among other things.
