Hunters on Prime Video: 3 good reasons to (re)discover the series where Al Pacino hunts down Nazis

Since January 13, Hunters is back on Prime Video with 8 new episodes. If you haven’t already, here are 3 good reasons to discover this dark and crazy series, carried by a starry cast!

What is it about ?

In 1970s New York, Holocaust survivors discover that former Nazis are living incognito in America and plotting to establish a Fourth Reich. Gathered around the philanthropist Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino), they form a team of trackers ready to do anything for justice.

Three years after the success of the first season, the Hunters return to end their quest for revenge. Following a finale rich in twists and turns (

the death of Meyer and the return of Adolf Hitler, alive and well!), the fans couldn’t take it anymore. Let them be reassured, this new round of episodes is also proving to be gripping!

And for those who missed the series when it was released, don’t panic: there’s still time to catch up on the bandwagon. Besides, here are 3 good reasons to do so.

For the strength of its story, brutal and moving

The themes addressed in Hunters (survival, revenge, justice) could only give rise to a strong and poignant story at the same time. But this is where the specificity of this series by David Weil (The Twilight Zone) lies: far from being satisfied with these dramatic issues, the story sublimates them by drawing on an almost burlesque violence with clearly Tarantinian inspirations.

To the emotions is therefore added a certain welcome satisfaction, which allows the spectator to laugh as much as to vibrate.

For the impeccable interpretation of a starry cast

In addition to the famous Al Pacino as headliner, the Hunters band consists of Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson, Fury, Bullet Train), Saul Rubinek (True Romance), Carol Kane (Addams Family Values), Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) or Jerrika Hinton (Grey’s Anatomy).

New faces join the cast for this second season: Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight) lends her features to a newcomer to the team of Nazi hunters, while the legendary Udo Kier (Dogville, Melancholia) embodies a character whose it is better to let you discover the identity…

To enjoy the series at its peak

To the chagrin of his fans, the quest for the band ends at the end of this second (and therefore final) season. As strong as it is cruel, funny and liberating, Hunters appears without a shadow of a doubt as a must-have at the start of the year and in the platform’s catalog. This is the perfect opportunity to discover this series now in its entirety, without having to wait to see its grand finale!

The 8 episodes of season 2 of Hunters are available exclusively on Prime Video.
