Hybrid working: Logitech’s new webcams

Logitech announces a new line of affordable webcams for those looking for a budget-friendly, yet high-quality solution.

Logitech’s Brio 300 and Brio 305 are for people who frequently use video conferencing platforms and want to participate in virtual meetings with better camera and audio quality.

Brio 300

The Brio 300 camera, 2 MP, adapts to several definitions, 1280 x 720 and 1920 x 1080, with 30 frames per second. The camera comes with RightLight 2 software which automatically adjusts brightness and contrast to compensate for low or poor room lighting to “create a natural presentation”.

The Brio 300 has a mono microphone that reduces background noise and can pick up sound from a distance of one meter. The webcam can clip onto a monitor or laptop and connect via a USB-C cable. For enhanced privacy, a camera shutter pivots fully from the center of the lens to the top of the webcam.

Brio 300 comes in three colors – off-white, graphite and pink – and is partially made from recycled plastic, which gives the camera a speckled look. The Brio 300 is available at a price of 80 euros.

Brio 305

The Brio 300 and the Brio 305 are very similar in terms of appearance, functions and capabilities, but the Brio 305 is really dedicated to the professional market. Like the Brio 300, its camera is 2 MP and adapts to 1280 x 720 and 1920 x 1080 definitions at 30 frames per second.

The Brio 305 has the same audio and camera quality as the Brio 300. It connects to a monitor or laptop via a USB-C cable.

For Logitech, many remote and hybrid workers have to attend virtual meetings with poor lighting, sound and camera quality. The Brio 305 is therefore compatible with Logitech Sync, a software that allows administrators to monitor and maintain their IT devices and related problems remotely.

The Brio 305 is also compatible with Logi Tune, which allows employees to monitor their devices and adjust their webcam’s audio and camera settings in one place.

The Brio 305 is certified carbon neutral and is made from post-consumer recycled plastic. It is available at a price of 80 euros.
