Announced in April 2022, Hyper Light Breaker finally returns to report. Indeed, the title of Heart Machine reveals its gameplay in a first trailer.
The video shows us a world with biomes as varied as they are rich in color. The exploration of the different zones seems particularly fluid, thanks in particular to the different movement systems. The protagonist will indeed be able to use, in addition to a dash, a hoverboard as well as a glider to fly in the heights.
On the combat side, the game already promises a great arsenal of weapons, both for melee combat and for distance confrontations. The rogue-lite dimension of Hyper Light Breaker will unlock new weapons and other skills as you play. Finding what suits us best to achieve victory will therefore take a few tries. But beyond the unlocked equipment, there are also fragments of the history of the world where we evolve and characters that will be unlocked as you try.
The successor of Hyper Light Drifter looks promising and this first video just makes me want to see more. However, you will have to be patient. Because if the start of early access had been announced in the first place for this spring, it will not actually start until the fall of 2023 on Steam.
