Even if Marie is not there yet, 35% of women lawyers leave the profession in the first five years of professional life, according to the Union of Young Parisian Lawyers (UJA). While the reasons can be very diverse and not all of them cut ties with the law, the figure remains too high not to illustrate the malaise or disillusionment that affects many young people.
