“I cried !” : this day when Caroline Margeridon ruined herself in “Case concluded”: Current Woman Le MAG

In this return to 2023, Caroline Margeridon begins her seventh season ofDeal done. A flagship face of the auction show since its launch in 2017, the 56-year-old antique dealer is well-regarded by the public for his legendary generosity and outspokenness. Indeed, this great competitor is not afraid to make herself heard. And that can sometimes harm her… In any case, that’s what she told Marie-Amélie Druesne’s microphone, for her podcast Current Women published Thursday, August 31, 2023. In front of our journalist, Caroline Margeridon confided at length about her career, her relationship to money, or even the debut of the new host Julia Vignali in the program of France 2. During this interview, the famous buyer ofDeal done also came back to the biggest “stupidity” that she did on the show, which cost her a lot of money.

Caroline Margeridon confides in the large sums she spends on the show

First, Sophie Davant’s great friend wanted to make things clear about the sometimes astronomical sums she spends on television: “Even me, when I watch the show, it shocks me! People must say to themselves that you don’t have to have an object worth thousands of euros in your living room, that I buy it as if it were nothing, but that’s my job! I am not mercantile.” But of course, this profession involves risks, which Caroline Margeridon readily acknowledges. “It’s even horror! I never bought in the auction room [avant l’émission, ndlr.], because I’m too playful. Except that I know that money is hard to earn… but very easy to spend”, she explained to us. And to continue: “But there, it will be seven years that I am in the auction room. And it’s complicated for me because I like people and when I see that they really need that money, I’m going to buy a lot more expensive than in the shop.”

Caroline Margeridon spent €39,000 to annoy another buyerDeal done !

And if the flea market manages to control itself most of the time, it happened to him to lose control during a sale in particular. “I once lost money on a bonus. I was at the end of my life!”she recalled before explaining (while apologizing in advance for her flowery language): There was a buyer I didn’t like in the gang, and I decided to fuck his race. And I got carried away. It was an object that I wanted to pay a maximum of 12,000 euros, and I went as far as €39,000… Horrible.” Small problem, his competitor chose to stop the auction at that time, leaving Caroline Margeridon to pay the amount to the seller. “I thought he was so dope he would go up to 40,000. Oh no!” Knowing well that she hasdo anything”she tries a last dodge in “swinging something awful” to his colleague. Bingo, that last one”has so much hate” that he raises the auction to 39,500 euros. But again, the fate falls on Caroline Margeridon: the owner of the object is not a big fan of the buyer, and still chooses to do business with the pretty blonde for the sum of 39,000 euros. “I think I cried! It’s the only time I’ve done a big mistakefinally concluded the star ofDeal done in our podcast, to be found in full at the top of this article.
