Christophe Dechavanne is without filter. Wednesday January 24, 2024 the host revealed his autobiography, Without transition, published by Flammarion. During these many pages, he decided to open his heart on different subjects. The opportunity for him to talk about his love life after his separation from Elena Foïs. During an interview given to TV Star Monday January 22, 2024 as part of the promotion of the book, Christophe Dechavanne returned to his celibacy and the beautiful declaration of love made to Marina Foïs’ sister in his book. “If she didn’t get hit with this, I don’t know who I was living with.” Does he feel any regrets following their separation? His response couldn’t be more frank: “Tango is danced by two people! This idea of last chance scares me right now. I don’t want to go see the Grand Canyon with my hands in the excavations. I want to have another hand in mine ” he confided. Christophe Dechavanne also had a word for his two daughters, Pauline and Ninon and on the very complex relationship he has with his son, Paul-Henri: “He makes his life. Life has kept us apart for a decade now […] My friends tell me he will come back“.
Christophe Dechavanne: “The public no longer wants you”
It was therefore as part of the promotion of his book that Christophe Dechavanne was the guest on Frédéric Lopez’s show, A Sunday in the countryside. Program which will be broadcast on France 2 on Sunday February 18, 2024, but of which the channel has agreed to reveal an extract on Instagram. In the latter, Christophe Dechavanne speaks and once again demonstrates honesty. And this time, it is not parts of his private life that are discussed, but the professional side. Faced with Frédéric Lopez and the two other guests, Stéphane de Groodt and Aurélie Valognes, he spoke about his ouster from TF1, which had a profound impact on him: “Étienne Mougeotte, who was a man I respected for his professionalism, said to me one day in my office, eye to eye: ‘Listen, you can see that people no longer want you, the public no longer wants you. you. You gave, go green. You have a country house, you love it a lot, do something else, but it’s over'”. Christophe Dechavanne therefore decides to warn his “main collaborator”: “I found it inhumane. And so my colleague comes up and I say to Mougeotte: ‘Can you repeat what you just said to me in front of my colleague?’ And he says: ‘Yes, but of course, without any problem: people don’t want to see Christophe anymore.’.
