“I heard shots …”: Mel B victim of domestic violence, his daughter makes appalling revelations

She was married for ten years to a man she no longer recognizes. Separated from Stephen Belafonte since 2017, Mel B has always claimed that her partner abused her, emotionally and physically, when they were still a couple. If he denies any of these accusations, the former member of the Spice Girls can count on the support of her daughter Phoenix, from her previous marriage to Jimmy Gulzar. Now 22 years old, the young woman has indeed provided a chilling testimony in the columns of the British newspaper The Sun.

Mom was screaming, ‘Stop, leave me!’

Mel B probably doesn’t remember it, because of her post-traumatic symptoms, but her daughter Phoenix witnessed some scenes of incredible violence. “I once snuck out of my room to look through a hole in the stairs, just to check that mum was okay.she remembers, in particular. Then I went back to my room, two floors below. But a few minutes later, I heard even more screams. Mom was screaming, ‘Stop, leave me!’ Then I heard knocks. I came back up and saw Stephen with his pants down and my mom on the couch. I froze. I knew there was nothing I could do…

Phoenix Brown will turn 23 at least February 2022 but she was, at the time, “too scared, too young and hopeless“. She would then go back to her bed, “terrified“, and stared into space. There is no doubt that the young woman received her mother’s authorization, before publicly evoking these horrifying confessions. Mel B herself participated, very recently, in Fabio’s new clip of Andrea, for the title Love Should Not Hurt – “Love shouldn’t hurt– in which she plays a woman beaten by her husband… to fight a little more against domestic violence.
