For 12 years, the Tuche family has offered lots of laughs and entertainment to French spectators. After three postponements due to the health epidemic, the fourth part signed Olivier Baroux was born on December 8, 2021 in dark rooms. The director resumed his double role by embodying Monnier, the neighbor of the Tuche family. To tease him and make his task even more difficult, Jean-Paul Rouve, who turns 56 on January 26, 2023, decided to do it run wild during all the shots of Les Tuches 4. “I love pissing him off!” he confided on the set of It’s up to you the year of the film’s release.

The filmmaker nevertheless admitted that making a film, playing a role and managing a whole cast, notably made up of two fanatics, was not easy : “Me, I can’t take it anymore, I’m at the end of my life because making a film with so many actors is very complicated. Especially with these actors! So, in addition, I have to play, and in addition, I have to take Jean-Paul and François…” And yet, we have to believe that Olivier Baroux likes this good-natured atmosphere enough to back up for a fifth installment.

Olivier Baroux does not intend to stop on such a good path. “As long as the desire is there, we will continue! It would be a shame to stop”, he revealed to Tele-Leisure. The director even hopes that his saga will have the same longevity as the biggest cinematographic productions: “It’s unique to have a family saga that comes back every three years and advances with the times (…) For Star Wars, they are well up to twelve films, so I don’t see why we wouldn’t go that far than them! As long as we have ideas and health, we will make Tuche films. As for the release date, nothing has been announced yet, but “if all goes well, this Tuche 5 will shoot in the spring of 2023 for a release in February 2024”.
