Suffering from lung cancer for which he has been undergoing heavy treatment for several weeks, Florent Pagny will be on the set of the semi-final of The Voice this Saturday, May 14, live at 9:10 p.m. on TF1.
The singer, who recently shared the news in an Instagram video, has yet to undergo chemotherapy, but was very confident about what’s next. He also did not hesitate, as during his passage in the episode of The Voice recorded in February and broadcast on May 7, to laugh at his “new look”, the treatment he follows having led to the fall of his hair and the loss of his hair.
“I assume my head even if I may put on glasses because of the fall of my eyelashes which really makes me look sick, but the rest, I manage”, he still assured Gala, who publishes an interview with the singer this Thursday, May 12. “I have no more hair, no more beard, no more eyebrows! What do you want, I’ve always worked on all the looks, here I’m going to the extreme! It’s the most refined!”, he commented with humor.
In the columns of the magazine, the juror of The Voice also gave more details on his fight against the disease. “The latest news I have from inside, if I can put it that way, is that the tumor has shrunk a lot, the size of a good kiwi, I went to a hazelnut after two chemos”, he rejoiced.

As for his state of mind, Florent Pagny explains that he avoided thinking too much so as not to let himself be defeated. “I tried not to ask myself too many questions because the answers can destroy you. You can’t let yourself slide into sadness or anguish that you can’t control, ”he said, still in the pages of Gala.
“Now I’m coming out of the tunnel. I have some answers that allow me to better assess the situation and it revives in me certain things that I lost a little, arrived at my age (…) This cancer woke me up in a way, and it redefined the meaning of my priorities”, he assured, before specifying: “As soon as my protocol is finished, I will move on very quickly to something else!”, Including his tour which he plans to resume in 2023.
In the meantime, fans of The Voice will be happy to find him live on Saturday.
