In season 3 of “I promise you”, Maud tries her luck at “The Voice”, the famous tele-hook show from TF1. Here’s how the two headline programs came together to become one… or almost.
Monday April 17, 2023, TF1 offers fans to discover episodes 5 and 6 of season 3 of I promise you. In the first part of the evening, the character of Maud (Marilou Berry) passes the blind auditions of the tele-hook The Voice while she has been waiting for Tanguy’s baby (Marc Riso) for a few months now… Sequences full of artifice!

Viewers will thus discover the protagonist with a nice round belly. But was the interpreter of Maud really living a pregnancy at the time of the filming of the series or was it a fake belly? Mother since 2018, Josiane Balasko’s daughter has not had another child since. In I promise you, the actress therefore pretends to be pregnant, helped by an accessory.
On the stage of The Voice, Maud then sings the moving song So by Barbara Pravi. But again, the masquerade is perfect! Indeed, the actress is not the one who sings in front of the camera! Indeed, it is Juliette Moraine, one of the former real candidates of the program, who offers this vocal performance.
Editing, illusions and music

Finally, another illusion has been put in place to create a larger than life link between I promise you and The Voice. While Nikos Aliagas (the presenter of the show) was present on the set, this was not at all the case for the jurors Marc Lavoine, Florent Pagny, Amel Bent and Vianney!
The images of the quartet presented in the episode were real reactions from the coaches but when they faced real candidates… last year! Thanks to the art of editing, the singers then seem to really interact with Maud… Bluffing.
