“I wanted to put you a pie”: Cyril Hanouna talks about his complicated past with Benjamin Castaldi

Between them, it has not always been great love. For several years, Cyril Hanouna has been leading his boat on C8 with the show Do not touch My TV which meets with great success every evening. Accompanied by many columnists, he sometimes welcomes new ones every evening, while others, in place for several years, do not move. As is the case of Benjamin Castaldi, who remains a faithful host. Constantly spoofing each other, they seem to share on screen as in the city a beautiful friendship. However, this has not always been the case.

Indeed, in the first part of Do not touch My TVTuesday, February 8, Cyril Hanouna recalled that he did not always appreciate Benjamin Castaldi, who recently confided in him about his depression. “I consider him a brother. I will always be there for him and I love him very much. But I remember one day when I called Benjamin, insulted him on the phone and said: ” ‘If I meet you, you’ll see I’ll break all your teeth‘”, he thus remembered, hilarious. Threats that have never been carried out, while the origin of this initially very tense relationship is still unknown.

Cyril Hanouna could “not like” Benjamin Castaldi

Benjamin Castaldi for his part, also remembers the words of Cyril Hanouna against himself, specifying however that the latter “was warming itself”. “He was watching what I was doing. When he was not well knownI had a beautiful leather jacket from a major brand, I took all my photos with it and he said in the press: “What the fuck is this me*d*’ jacket”, he thus remembered. Without saying more about this quarrel, we understand later that what annoyed Cyril Hanouna was not an exchange between them, but the representation of the former host of Secret Story. “I couldn’t blame him (…) before with his glasses, his jacket, his girl with her jacket, her helicopter, I wanted to put a huge pie in his face“he remembered, before changing his mind. “Benjamin is one of the nicest and most reliable guys I know”he pointed out.
