In Mont-Saint-Martin, in Meurthe-et-Moselle, the body of a dismembered and headless woman was found by a teenager this Monday, September 19. The victim has not yet been identified but an investigation has been opened.
A traumatic sight. This Monday, September 19, at the beginning of the afternoon, a 16-year-old discovered the dismembered bodyheadless and nakednear a disused building, in a ZUP (area to be urbanized as a priority, editor’s note), in Mont-Saint-Martin, in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
“In a bush, I smelled an unpleasant smell. I went to look closer and saw it was a body. At first I thought it was a fake, I didn’t believe it”, reported the young man to BFMTV. During his macabre discovery, the teenager was accompanied by a friend who also could not believe his eyes. “I thought it was a model. But then we saw a tattoo, piercings and there we understood that it was a real body”explained this other boy to our colleagues.
“It’s a clearly criminal case”
For now, the victim has not yet been identifiedbut according to Stéphane Javet, the deputy public prosecutor, it is a priori of one women “relatively young”. The trunk of this one will be autopsied soon at the forensic institute of Nancy. “It’s clearly a criminal case.“, had indicated earlier in the afternoon Catherine Galen, public prosecutor of Val-de-Briey, whose prosecution has relinquished in favor of that of Nancy. The judicial police are carrying out the investigations after the discovery of the corpse in this town located on the border with Belgium and Luxembourg.
A few days earlier, this Thursday, September 15, another headless body was discovered by walkers in the national forest of Moyeuvre-Grande, about fifty kilometers further south of Mont-Saint-Martin. According to Catherine Galen, whose prosecution is seized of the case, the death of this man could go back several months, but “no current link” does not exist between the two casessaid Stéphane Javet.
