“I will end my career with Michel Drucker”: will Serge Lama make his very last TV appearance in 2024? : Current Woman Le MAG

After nearly 60 years of career, Serge Lama said goodbye to the stage at the Victoires de la Musique in 2023. Since then, he has continued to make television appearances but February 11, 2024 will probably be his last, on the set of Roll on Sunday with Michel Drucker. This is what he confided on the set of C to you on Thursday January 25, 2024. For him, you have to make a scene while you can: “It’s a job of life, it’s a job of momentum and so we have to do it while we can do it”, but you also have to know when to stop. This is why the singer made his announcement: “I think I will end my career at Michel Drucker on February 11”. Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, presenter of the show, specifies that it will be a special show dedicated to her, on her birthday. It is a real honor for Serge Lama who will be welcomed alongside Roger Federer, to whom he dedicated the song Roger Federer’s gesture.

Serge Lama, a courageous man

If Serge Lama is going to celebrate his 81st birthday, we must not forget that he survived an accident where he almost lost his life on August 12, 1965. He already explained in October 2022 to Parisian that he would never go on stage again: “It’s time for me to stop. I have too much pain linked to the after-effects of my accident”. The singer has courage to have rebuilt himself after this accident since he lost two loved ones: his first partner, and the manager of his tour at the time. The interpreter of I’m sick did not let himself be discouraged since, despite his handicap, he released more than 20 studio albums, 9 live albums and toured extensively. At the end of the 1970s, he gave more than 250 concerts per year. It wasn’t always easy because of the omnipresent pain that followed him throughout his career: “I started walking eighteen months after this tragedy, but I have suffered from pain all my life in my lower back that shoot into my leg” he confided to Parisian. The broadcast of Roll on Sunday from February 11, 2024 will be an opportunity to salute a great man who leaves many fans behind him.
