In a podcast at the beginning of October, Idris Elba confided that he suffered from a real addiction to work, to the point of having started therapy so that he could get rid of “his unhealthy habits” which kept him far too far from his family.

And to reveal that he even started therapy a year ago after having developed “these unhealthy habits”.
“It’s not because I don’t love myself or anything like that. (…) I work in an industry where I get rewarded for these unhealthy habits. I get rewarded for it. I’m a true workaholic . And that’s not very good for life, in general.” he emphasizes.
Broadening the spectrum, it is true that the actor has not really been idle since his debut in 1994 in an episode of the series 2point4 Children: he has thus lined up more than fifty films and more than thirty roles on the television.

Shootings that keep him away from his family for a long time, sometimes for months, cyclically, and which become increasingly difficult to live with. And when he is not filming, between two roles, Idris Elba devotes himself to his second favorite occupation; that of DJ: “My studio is in my house, I love being there.
