ICE Hockey League – Eisbullen are among the “bad boys” of the league

Ice hockey league champions Salzburg welcome their “favorite opponent” Asiago. In the fair play ranking, Oliver David’s team is in second to last place.

Like the oft-mentioned common thread that runs through the season: Salzburg concedes too many penalties! In total, the Ice Bulls have been sitting in the cooler for 350 minutes (47 of which are thanks to “Bad Boy” Lewington). They rank second to last in the ICE Hockey League’s fair play ranking, which results in an average of 10.3 minutes per game. A value that once again illustrates how coach Oliver David’s team makes life difficult for themselves. “We took the momentum back with penalties. Another one in overtime cost us the point,” groaned Paul Stapelfeldt after the 2-3 defeat in Vorarlberg. Today (19.15) things should be going better again. “Favorite opponent” Asiago is a guest on the Salzach. Although the David crew was able to win five of the six previous duels with the Italians, the coach warns: “No game against them was easy. Asiago has a team that can beat us.”
