Ice hockey league – KAC humiliates VSV in the Carinthian derby with 9: 1

The KAC won the second Carinthian ice hockey derby of the season against the VSV! The last unconvincing champion cheered on Stefanitag in front of the home crowd in the 340th edition of the duel over a 9-1 home win. The outstanding man was Nick Petersen with five goals. The first meeting two weeks ago in Villach was also clearly 4-0 to the Klagenfurt team.

The guests made it very easy for the KAC, which was previously weak at home. First, Rok Ticar (5th) took advantage of a serious defensive mistake, a little later Johannes Bischofberger (7th) scored the second goal, outnumbered. Before the end of the third third of the start, Bischofberger (18th) increased the power play in a preliminary way. Petersen’s first coup (28th) to 4-0 finally made things clear in front of around 2000 fans. The Villachers achieved minimal cosmetic results thanks to John Hughes (38th) in the middle section. In the last third, the KAC, who clearly determined the game even without the injured Thomas Koch, was on the word. Mainly in the person of Petersen, who was not very successful in the season so far, also due to an injury, who scored four goals (42nd, 50th / PP, 53rd / PP, 55th / PP).
