After three months of waiting, the fix to end the inability for third-party applications to be saved in iCloud
is finally available.

However, no official publication from Apple has been posted.

Third-party apps have their place on iCloud again

Since November 2021, Apple users have noticed that third-party app backup to iCloud intermittently does not work. If the Apple brand was directly warned through publications on its forum, it did not, however, hurry, since the patch is not made public until the end of January.

Without giving any further explanation, Apple did not even issue an official statement and simply responded to a developer’s post on its forum, announcing that after ” investigated this issue on the CloudKit backend, a fix has been implemented “.

The origin of this bug in Apple’s online storage service is still unclear. The users of the applications concerned have notably received an error message invoking a failure of the request requested with the error code 503. For its part, the firm thinks of “ throttling of requests that can affect a specific user, or the container as a whole for third-party app backup. In short, for Apple, it is better to be content with the fix and look no further.
