Who to replace Daniel Craig? For fifteen years, the actor has played the mythical James Bond five times. And to add, enigmatically: “Journalists are doing their job and relaying this rumour. Obviously, it’s an honor for me to be associated with 007. But I must admit that I don’t know what to think anymore…” Guest of the podcast Jemele Hill is Unbothered, the actor explained to be rather annoyed by this question. “A lot of times it’s lazy journalism. People try to use that as bait to get clicks, like, ‘What’s he going to say this time?'”he was annoyed.

“I try to say the same things. Every once in a while I tease them, but every once in a while I tell them why I don’t want to do it or why it’s a rumour,” added Idris Elba. And he’s not the only one who could become the next James Bond. Among the most quoted actors, like him? Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill or even Jacob Elordi. “It’s a big decision. It’s not just about handing out a role. It’s about completely rethinking the direction we’re going, confided the producer of the franchise in the columns of Variety. I’m just here to celebrate one of the greatest actors on the planet, Daniel Craig.” His replacement will not be known immediately. “We work out the path we want to take with the character, we discuss, she continued. (…) We are reinventing who he is and that takes time.”
