If you avenge me, available since September 16 on Netflix, is an ode to 90s teen movies, from Sexe Intentions to Clueless via Jawbreaker. A genre that director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is particularly fond of. So when the latter had the opportunity to offer a role to Sarah Michelle Gellar, she did not hesitate to write her a tailor-made character.
In an interview with IndieWireRobinson returned to the scenes of this cameo which was kept secret: “I wanted it to be her. When she accepted, it was like we wrote the whole movie together – I knew it was going to turn out something good.”.
