if you do not act by March 31, you can lose up to 677 euros

If you received an energy check in 2023, the deadline is imminent to pay your energy bill, whether for electricity, gas or even wood. After March 31, you will no longer be able to use it. This is also the case for the exceptional energy checks distributed last year.

The clock is ticking. Like every year, 5.6 million households received the energy check last April. This aid is reserved for the 20% of households with the lowest income, and its amount is between 48 and 277 euros. It allows you, in particular, to pay your energy bill, whether for electricity, gas or even wood. But also energy renovation work, in addition to MaPrimeRenov’.

Please note, the deadline for this check is March 31. And it is very possible that many beneficiaries will once again forget to take advantage of it. In 2021, only 4 out of 5 energy check beneficiaries spent their energy check to pay their bills. Even though overall, with a utilization rate of 80%, the energy check does better than the majority of other social aids. Some in fact have a non-recourse rate of 50%!

According to the Minister of the Economy, questioned by The Parisian, around one million beneficiaries had not yet used their 2023 energy check as of Tuesday.

Energy check: this procedure must be done before Sunday March 31 to avoid an unpleasant surprise

And in addition to the classic energy check, you may have other energy checks to use between now and March 31. Indeed, between the end of 2022 and January 2023, 12 million households received a exceptional energy check of 100,200 euros depending on their resources.

About the each fuel oil intended for 1.6 million households and set up last year to support the French in the face of rising energy price inflation, here again, this check of 100 to 200 euros must be used by the end of the month to pay a fuel oil delivery invoice. Once the deadline passes, this aid will no longer be valid.
