“If you prefer to prostitute yourself on TV”, this remark received at its beginnings

Roles that fit him like a glove. For the second consecutive season, Audrey Fleurot plays Morgane Alvaro in the series HPI, a woman with a High Intellectual Potential who assists the Lille police in their investigations. If fiction meets with real success on TF1, it is in particular thanks to her talents as an actress. And this is not the first time that we find her in the casting of a series that is a hit on television. However, things were not easy for her.

This Wednesday, June 15, Audrey Fleurot was invited on the set of It’s up to you on France 5 to present the film The Very Very High Class. The opportunity for her to return to her debut on television. “I actually went through a kind of transition. If you were doing theatre, you weren’t doing TV what”she explains. “I remember when I had the casting for Engrenages and I couldn’t continue with the next project because the shooting was taking me too long, the director I was working with at the time said: ‘Well if you prefer to prostitute yourself on television…'”.

Audrey Fleurot: “It was butter in the spinach”

Severe words that have in no way affected the actress, now 44 years old. “They were families: if you were doing public theatre, you weren’t doing private theatre. If you were doing TV, you weren’t doing movies. I find that the environments are more and more porous, fortunately”, she points out. And to add: “My dream was to do theatre, it was my life for ten years and then I started shooting. It was butter in the spinach. And then it started to take more and more time and then it became complicated with the tours”. If Audrey Fleurot connects the filming of films and fictions, she does not however forget the theater where she “try” to get back on the boards “every two years”. “Because it’s really my first taste”she concludes.
