The Lego Motorized Lighthouse is, as its name suggests, a motorized set. The lighthouse in fact includes a small motor and a cable with lamps, in order to illuminate and rotate the light beam of the lighthouse, as well as to illuminate the chimney of the house adjoining the lighthouse. Everything runs on batteries. Both buildings rest on a superbly detailed rock which also houses a cave where pirate treasure lies.
The set comes with minifigures of the sailor in his boat and the watchman. To keep them company, you will find a seagull and especially a cat, essential to life alone.
Is this Lego Lighthouse worth it at this price?
€223 remains a high price for a Lego mainly for display. But if you’ve been waiting for a price drop to get your hands on one, or you simply have a passion for headlights, the €75 savings are welcome! This replica measures over 54cm high, 25cm wide and 25cm deep. If you expose it, you can admire the interior thanks to a rotating panel. Although Lego recommends this set for adults, younger brick fans can build this set perfectly, as long as you accompany them during assembly.
They will also be able to have fun creating stories, thanks to the many minute details. The elements at the back of the lighthouse tower remove to reveal the stairs that lead to the top.
