IFA 2023 – Philips Hue Festavia: the Christmas garland does its outdoor show again

On the sidelines of its announcements around Hue Secure, which marks the manufacturer’s entry into the connected security sector, Philips Hue has discreetly announced a new edition of its connected Christmas garland. The second generation Hue Festavia is now able to shine brightly outside the home. This news should delight many users insofar as investing €160 for a connected Christmas garland that is released one month in the year could be the main point of tension.

In addition to lighting up the Christmas tree, the new Hue Festavia will be able to occupy terraces and gardens to warm up summer evenings. This garland is available in three sizes: 100 mini-leds on an 8 meter cord, 250 leds on a 20 meter cord and 500 leds on a 40 meter cord. In addition to the lighting modes that already existed on the first version of the garland (Sparkle, which allows each led of the garland to flash, and Scattered to diffuse up to five colors sparsely along the garland), Philips Hue offers three new light effects: Prism, Glisten (flickering) and Opal.

Seamless integration into the Hue ecosystem

The first generation of the Festavia was already a success, not least because of its integration into the Hue ecosystem. Easy to install and feature-rich, Philips Hue’s first-ever Christmas light sold out very quickly after its launch, causing a lot of frustration among customers. aficionados of the brand.

The second generation of the Hue Festavia will be available in September. It will take €119.99 for the 100 led version, €219.99 for the 250 led version and finally €359.99 for the 500 led version. Note also that the connection bridge, essential for controlling the luminaire remotely, is not supplied with these packs. The gateway can be purchased alone at 60 €.
