Ikumi Nakamura presents Kemuri, his studio’s first game – Gamosaurus

Officially introduced in 2022, UNSEEN is the new independent studio from Ikumi Nakamura, creative director of Ghostwire: Tokyo. Today the lady returns with a new project:
Kemuri. A title that is still very mysterious, with no platform or release date announced, nor even a publisher to support its creation. But the first information regarding the game does not fail to recall another production from the Japanese company.

Kemuri is a game where the unpredictable and the extraordinary merge in an urban jungle. Playing as a yokai hunter, the player must restore balance to this world by absorbing the powers of these Japanese legends. It seems that the folklore of his native country is a huge source of inspiration for Ikumi Nakamura. After exploring it in
Ghostwire: Tokyothe freedom provided by his independent studio should allow him to develop his ideas without too many constraints.

Unfortunately, none of this is concrete yet. The foundations are laid, seeking to offer a world that you can explore alone or with a friend, where you capture yokai to then play them, but that’s it. The project still appears to be in its early stages. We will surely have to wait a few more years before seeing the first gameplay images. And to finally know in which genres the title will evolve.
