Ile-de-France A 29-year-old woman found dead in an apartment in Paris: a policeman wanted

A 29-year-old woman was found dead on Friday in a bathtub in an apartment in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.

The victim showed few marks and no bullet wounds.

It was police officers from the Blanc-Mesnil brigade, in Seine-Saint-Denis, who went to this apartment after noting the suspicious absence of one of their colleagues.

Known for acts of domestic violence

“Following the report of a policeman who had not taken up his service at Blanc-Mesnil, police went to an apartment in the 19th arrondissement”, in the northeast of the capital, said a source. “On the spot, they discovered the body of a woman whose circumstances of death are unknown at this stage. The policeman is wanted,” it added.

The policeman, who did not go to his place of work and who is wanted, is the companion of the victim. He is known for domestic violence.

The Paris prosecutor’s office announced this Saturday to open an investigation for intentional homicide on a partner.

An autopsy of the young woman’s body is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

“He has his service weapon with him, we ask that he manifest himself very quickly”, declared on BFMTV Jean-Christophe Couvy, national secretary of the SGP Police FO Unit union, whether with the police or with of his relatives. “We will all find a solution together,” he said.
