It was in the story of his Instagram account that he decided to speak a few days after trying to end his life. “Something happened to me on Friday morning, I have neither the desire nor the need to go into details for the moment… I broke down after yet another attack from bloggers… who rather than talk about my innocence, my resilience or my professional projects, prefer relentlessness with dirty and completely false unproven subjects… I have always claimed my innocence and the only police investigation that there was ended in my favor. Do I face constant harassment as I build my professional projects, I play sports, I have a healthy and serious life, I try to entertain my community? I don’t hurt anyone. I’ve never done anything wrong and I’ve said it over and over“, he first said. In 2021, Illan Castronovo had been accused of sexual assault by candidates, including Nathanya Sonia. An investigation was opened after the filing of two complaints.
The reality TV star then continues: “I needed help and rest but I wanted to reassure all the people who worried and sent me messages, I am surrounded and I am recovering… it did me a lot of good to to see that I am followed and supported so much, really thank you from the bottom of my heart (…) I got up again thanks to my family and your support” Illan Castronovo therefore let it be known that he now needed to rest and get away from the networks. Then he attacked a blogger who threatened to sue him because he had pointed to it in his message which preceded his desperate act.
On Friday, a few hours after Illan’s disturbing messages were published, a friend of his revealed what had happened: “At around 4.30am this morning in Dubai, Illan attempted to take his own life. (…) He is stable, I try to reason with him from a distance. He lives alone in an apartment in Dubai and I will try to join him as soon as possible. He is very weak, he can’t take it anymore. Illan is very bad, he tried to kill himself. Now he has to recover.”
