A 15-year-old teenager was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention for the rape and murder of a teenage girl in a blended family in Bain-de-Bretagne (Ille-et-Vilaine).

A 15-year-old teenager was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention for the rape and murder of a teenage girl in a blended family from Bain-de-Bretagne (Ille-et-Vilaine), announced Saturday the public prosecutor of Rennes.

The teenager admitted the attack

The accused admitted the attack on the daughter of his mother’s companion, during his hearing by investigators, specified Philippe Astruc. On Saturday January 13 afternoon, “the lifeless body of a 15-year-old girl” was discovered by her father in the family home.

According to the prosecution, the autopsy carried out on January 15 did not make it possible to “determine with certainty the cause of death”. Biological analyzes of samples taken during the autopsy, however, revealed “the presence of unknown male DNA”. “In addition, it appeared that the victim may have suffered sexual violence,” said Mr. Astruc

The boys of the teenager’s father’s partner, living in the same home as the victim, were taken into police custody on February 12, in particular with a view to taking DNA samples. “The results provided by the laboratory made it possible to identify the older” of the two brothers, aged 13 and 15. The youngest brother was released.
