In mid-January the jungle camp replacement show "I am a star – The great jungle show" (RTL) starts. Now the first rumors are circulating which candidates are facing the challenges. As "Bild" reports, Djamila Rowe (53), Mike Heiter (28) and Oliver Sanne (34) are there and apply to participate in the 2022 jungle camp.

How do you know the three potential candidates?

The Berlin make-up artist Djamila Rowe became known in 2002 through a fictional affair with an ambassador in Berlin. The publisher that reported on it had to pay him compensation for pain and suffering. She was then seen in TV formats such as "Die Alm" (2004), "Big Brother" (2006) and "Adam sucht Eva – Promis im Paradies" (2017).

Mike Heiter from Essen became famous for his participation in "Love Island" (2017). After the show, he got together with his Swiss reality TV colleague, who later became a participant in the jungle camp (2020) Elena Miras (28). They have a two-year-old daughter and have been separated again this summer.

The Rhinelander Oliver Sanne is a model and fitness trainer. In 2014 he was named Mister Germany and engaged as a "Bachelor" (RTL) in the following year. He is no longer with his chosen one on the show. Instead, he proposed marriage to ex-DSDS candidate Jill Rock (28) on the sidelines of the TV show "Sat.1 Promiboxen" in September 2020.

"I'm a Star – The Great Jungle Show" starts on January 15th

In the 15-part event series "Ich bin ein Star – Die große Dschungelshow" (RTL / TVNow), celebrities will fight for entry into the jungle camp in 2022 from January 15 – and only one can win. The regular jungle camp, which was initially relocated from Australia to Wales, was ultimately canceled completely due to the corona restrictions. In the new show, which will take place in Germany, not only the well-established moderation duo Sonja Zietlow (52) and Daniel Hartwich (42) carefully scrutinize the candidates. Jungle camp darling Dr. Bob is specially flown in from Australia.

In the final on January 29th, the audience will vote who deserves to move into the 15th Australian jungle camp in 2022. The winner will also receive prize money of 50,000 euros.
