“I’m afraid they will really do it”, these death threats she received before the tragedy

The case of Lina’s disappearance continues to question the whole of France. As a reminder, the 15-year-old girl disappeared on Saturday September 23, 2023 in the town of Saint-Blaise-la-Roche, in Bas-Rhin, while she was on the way to the station. She was going to Strasbourg to find her boyfriend Tao.

Quickly, the search began to try to find Lina. This is how the authorities discovered that the young woman had filed a complaint of rape against two adult men a few months earlier. Could this event be the trigger for the disappearance? This is what some of the teenager’s relatives seem to think who spoke to journalists from Sept à Huit in an exclusive report broadcast on TF1 this Sunday, May 11.

Lina threatened with death

The channel interviewed many people around Lina. Among them, her cousin Louane. The young woman explained that since she filed the complaint, Lina had been the victim of harassment and had received death threats: “Some people threaten to come home and nab me. I’m afraid they really will.”, the missing woman would have said.

And for her, the two elements were linked. “I thought it was jealous girls, but she told me it wasn’t about that. She told me ‘it’s because I filed a complaint’”, explains Lina’s cousin. On the other hand, the victim never revealed where these death threats came from. She would have had in mind to resolve this alone.

The fugue thesis

During the investigation, the police studied the hypothesis of running away, but for the young woman’s relatives, this is not possible. “It’s not like Lina to run away like that. Even compared to her mother, she grew up with her, she was so close that it was not possible for her to run away”, explained Louane to TF1. Same story with Wendy, her best friend who says: “It’s not possible, she would never go up with someone she doesn’t know. If it was someone she knew, she could have gone up. Another important element of the report: the testimony of Robert Dubois. He lives right in front of the station where Lina was going on the day of her disappearance. He explained to Sept à Huit that on September 23, he saw the teenager in a blue car with “a bearded man, young, between 20 and 30 years old”. She seemed to be smiling, “not in distress”. A matter decidedly full of uncertainties.
