This difficult ordeal forced him to adopt an intense chemotherapy protocol, thus interrupting his 60th birthday tour in 2021. Recently, during his appearance on the 8 p.m. news on TF1, Pagny shared encouraging news about his health. “I am in excellent shape, my recent exams went well and the results are very positive,” he confided. Despite this optimism, the singer remains cautious, aware of previous relapses. “The disease has disappeared for the third time, but it has also returned three times. We must therefore remain vigilant”he stressed.
In a surprising revelation, Florent Pagny announced his intention to step away from the media scene until 2026, to focus on his recovery. He plans to return to Patagonia, his refuge from the tumult. “I’m going back to my house, far from everything. It’s just a night on a plane”, he explained. On the set of “Vivement Dimanche” on November 26, 2023, Pagny detailed his treatment journey. “After neglecting immunotherapy, I suffered a relapse. However, despite returning to chemo and immunotherapy, the disease persisted”he revealed.

If necessary, I will return for treatments. Otherwise, I will live my life there,” he said, while specifying that he does not plan to end his musical career at the moment.
