“I’m missing out on my life”, facing Lena Situations, Marlon’s mother moved to tears

The life of influencers is not as beautiful as they want us to believe. Last July, Caroline Receveur shocked the entire Web by announcing that she had a aggressive breast cancer. The kind of thing influencers don’t usually share. And yet. After decades of building a life on appearance, it seems that the trend is finally to authenticity. Recently, influencer Eloïse Appelle also revealed that she was suffering from breast cancer, at only 26 years old.

A sensitive subject which concerns 1 in 8 women. In fact, statistics estimate that one in eight women develop breast cancer during their lifetime. And today Caroline Receveur agrees to talk about it with an open heart. Indeed, this Thursday March 21, the famous influencer Lena Situations revealed on his Instagram account, an extract from his exclusive interview with Caroline Receveur.

Caroline Receveur confides in Lena Situations

Marlon’s mother agreed to talk to Lena Situations for her podcast entitled 6-seater sofa. The episode is over an hour long and is available on Spotify. But the influencer shared an excerpt on her Instagram account. The opportunity to quickly understand the tone of this interview. Because for Caroline Receveur, as for many other women, breast cancer is experienced as a reminder that we are not immortal.

This illness is often a questioning of one’s own life, and an opportunity to take stock of what truly makes us happy. At least that’s how Caroline Receveur experienced it. “I’m missing out on my life. I said to myself, I’m missing out on the life that I created and that I’ve always dreamed of, that I’ve achieved. In fact, what am I running after?” asks Marlon’s mother, very moved, in front of Lena Situations.

She continues: “And what’s paradoxical is that the moment I realized I had everything, that’s when my cancer happened.” But far from letting herself be defeated, Caroline Receveur never wanted to experience her breast cancer as a tragedy and an absolute misfortune. But rather as an opportunity to finally understand the gift that is life. And the right way for her is to make the best possible use of it. And that doesn’t mean chasing money, fame, followers and professional success.
